Sponsors Successful Food Drive

According to nokidhungry.org more than 11 million children in the United States live in "food insecure" homes. That phrase may sound mild, but it means that those households don't have enough food for every family member to lead a healthy life.  This is an issue that needs to be solved, and Ashland Elementary School is trying to do something about it. In November, they held a food drive to assist the hungry families of Ashland. AES Student Council members organized the food drive. With their work on posters, contests, and others forms of advertising, they collected a total of over two hundred food items.

Members of the Ashland Elementary School Student Council proudly display the results of their recent Food Drive.
